Meet the Owner

Meet , Jessica Shelter, the owner of L+F!

Jessica was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Plus, her babies 🐾 , Sadie , Louie and Dakota! 🐾 She always knew she wanted to do something in the fashion industry but didn’t know what.

Jessica is a graduate of Troy University, majoring in Business. Before starting L+F, she had over 5 years of Retail/merchandising experience with a local boutique, Dillard’s department store and Winston Retail. During this time, she became a certified personal fashion stylist.

In 2018, Jessica started L+F. At first, it was a brand curated for women in the workplace; pieces that would make a statement at work. After 2020, L+F made a shift and leaned more toward practical pieces that can be dressed up or down. During this process, Jessica fell in love with fabrics such as Cotton and Linen. Not only the feel of it on the body but also the all over look of it and texture!

Currently, Jessica has created a brand that consists mostly of 100% cotton or linen (but not limited to those). The goal at L+F is to create a collection of minimal curated clothing that you will love for the rest of your life. She cares about the quality of the pieces that are sold in the shop which is why she tries her best to stick with brands she can trust to provide that.

At the end of the day, Jessica wants you to feel so loved and beautiful in each piece that you purchase from L+F. She aims to help her customers recognize their beauty at their most simplest.

Jessica loves Mayo and Ketchup
She loves dogs and even cats (if they’re nice)
Favorite food at the moment is a Caesar salad with steak on top.
Favorite dessert: Chocolate chip cookies or cheesecake
Favorite color to wear: cream
embarrassing childhood memory: crying when Scar died in the Lion King.
